We are located at Suite 6, 135 Riseley Street, Booragoon (Riseley Corporate Centre), just next to Garden City Shopping Centre in Booragoon. 

The process is simple and straightforward. Please bring in your gold to our shop at Suite 6, 135 Riseley Street Booragoon (Riseley Corporate Centre), and we will weight it with our calibrated measuring scale and test it using our XL2 Niton Precious Metal Analyser. We will then make you an offer based on the weight, purity, and current market value of your gold. 

The acceptable forms of identification are as follows:

One primary ID from the following (75 points)

• Australian/International passport
• Australian driving licence
• Proof of age card

One secondary ID from the following (25 points)

Must have current residential address and issued within the previous three months from date of transaction

• Utility Bill (Alinta/Synergy/Water corporation)
• Phone Bill (Telstra, Vodafone, etc..)
• Rental invoice
• Shire/council rates statement
• Medicare/Centrelink letter
• Bank Statements
• Insurance policy statement (Motor vehicle, house, health, etc..)
• Government Letters (ATO, fine/traffic infringement, etc…)

Our primary payment method is cash / bank transfer. Transaction of over $10,000 will be made via electronic bank transfer. Transfers are usually instant with OSKO.

We can buy gold items that have diamonds or other gemstones, however we won’t count the weight of the stones. We only deal with the weight and carat of gold and we don’t buy precious stones. We advise customers to remove any precious stones from their items before selling them.

A valuer will assess the value of your jewellery based on its “retail replacement value,” which is the cost to replace your jewellery if it is lost or stolen. This value includes the gold content, labour, and retail mark up. It’s important to note that valuations are not an accurate indicator of the gold value of your jewellery, but rather its retail value.

Retail stores usually mark up jewellery between 3 to 10 times its gold value. At Cash for Gold, we pay based on the gold content of your gold item alone. However, many of our customers have received more than what they paid for their jewellery when they sold items that were 10 or more years old.
We do not buy non-precious metals, plastic, pearls, gold-plated items, copper or wax-filled items, semi-precious stones, or stolen items.
